  10. Has anyone had any success using a USR Sportster 28.8 (latest rom) 
  11. with Solaris x86 PPP?  When I start PPP (asppp start) the uucp dialer 
  12. script times out waiting for the ok return from the init string and 
  13. the modem never goes off hook.  I have tried all suggested init 
  14. strings and none work.  When I use tip or cu the modem works 
  15. correctly.  And when I use cu with -d -L switches it will walk through
  16. the same script files as ppp uses.  I'm stumped.  Help?
